What are the taxes involved?

According to the Internal Revenue Service, any prize valued over $5,000 requires taxes on winnings to be paid when the prize is claimed. An independent bourbon appraiser has appraised all prized flights.

The prize flights affected by this are:

1 – Pappy Van Winkle Flight: $11,800 appraised value

2 – Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Prize Flight: $9,200 appraised value

3 – Buffalo Trace Antique Collection Prize Flight: $6,750 appraised value

PLEASE NOTE: Per the Internal Revenue Service, ticket purchases do not qualify as charitable contributions.

A W-9 will be issued by January 31, 2026
