Official Rules and Regulations for the 2025 Pappy for Puppies Bourbon Raffle!
The sponsor of the Bourbon Raffle is Franklin County Humane Society, Inc., of Frankfort, Kentucky (the “Humane Society”), a 501(c)3 organization located at 100 Companion Place Frankfort, KY 40601; Kentucky Charitable Gaming License #: ORG0000057; All proceeds from the Bourbon Raffle will benefit the Humane Society’s mission.
Bourbon Raffle tickets will be sold until May 29, 2025, at 5:59 PM EDT, or the sale of 3,000 tickets. The drawing will take place on May 29, 2025, at 7:00 PM EDT at J. Mattingly 1845 Distillery, 20 Reilly Rd, Frankfort, KY, and “FCHS Pappy for Puppies Bourbon Raffle” (@FCHSBourbon) Facebook Live page, which can be accessed at PappyForPuppies.com, at which time the winners will be announced. There will be twenty-three (23) winners. “Flight 1” will be drawn first, then “Flight 2,” and so forth until all twenty-three tickets are drawn. A winning ticket will no longer be eligible for subsequent drawings in this raffle. Following the announcement via Facebook, winners will have 60 days to claim their prize. Winners will be notified by phone and email. Each winner must provide proper identification that matches the name and address from the ticket purchase to the satisfaction of the Franklin County Humane Society. Winners can travel to 100 Companion Place, Frankfort, KY 40601, to claim their prize. Prize winners living 200 miles or more from 100 Companion Place, Frankfort, KY 40601, may request reimbursement for travel costs up to $300 for the sole purpose of retrieving their respective raffle prize.
Tickets will sell for $100 each, and each purchaser must be 21 years of age or older. Tickets may be purchased ONLY through the official raffle website link. There is no limit on the number of tickets a single individual may purchase. Following the purchase of a raffle ticket(s), an email will be sent to the purchaser assigning a raffle ticket number(s). Residents of the continental United States, where not prohibited by law, are eligible. An eligibility affidavit will be required from each winner. Humane Society employees, members of the Humane Society Board of Directors, and their immediate family members (family members living in the same home) are not eligible to purchase tickets. The Bourbon Raffle is void where prohibited.
By purchasing a ticket, each ticket holder releases the Humane Society, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability for injuries, losses, or damages of any kind and agrees to hold the Humane Society harmless from any and all losses, damages, rights, and claims by participation in the Bourbon Raffle. Each ticket holder agrees to his or her name, photograph, voice, and/or likeness being utilized for advertising and publicity purposes without prior approval and without compensation to the ticket holder. Additionally, purchasing a ticket provides consent to opt-in and receive marketing emails and solicitations from the Humane Society.
Per the Internal Revenue Service, ticket purchases do not qualify as charitable contributions. According to the Internal Revenue Service, any prize valued over $5,000 requires taxes on winnings to be paid at the time the prize is claimed. An independent bourbon appraiser has appraised all prize flights for a “fair market value,” and each flight has that listed.
