The Old Forester Whiskey Row Whiskey Row Series lets you taste your way through history. Old Forester was created in 1870 by George Garvin Brown and named after Dr. William Forrester. Brown, a pharmaceutical salesman turned bourbon man, was the first to bottle bourbon to ensure its quality, instead of selling by the barrel. He signed each sealed bottle as his guarantee. 1870 Original Batch at 90 proof harkens back to this era. The other bottles celebrate significant years in Old Forester’s history and reflect on the history of bourbon itself.
