The Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection showcases innovation and experimentation. The master distiller chooses different grains, maturation techniques, and flavor profiles. Like more traditional Woodford offerings, these are double distilled in copper pot stills, but the master distiller’s choices make this a unique range. These bottles are autographed because this is definitely a display of a master’s decisions.
Woodford Reserve Master’s Collection Four Grain begins with required corn and the expected malted barley. What sets this bottle apart is the use of both rye and wheat as the flavor grains. While the majority of bourbons rely on one or the other, this bottle combines the spice of rye with the sweetness of wheat. It’s a showcase of multi-layered complexity.
