  • Eagle Rare 10 Year (90)
  • Sazerac Rye
  • Traveller Whiskey
  • Weller, “Special Reserve” (90), Green Label

The sometimes long lines at Buffalo Trace are where one meets the best people, other bourbon lovers. You can talk bourbon and pat a lot of puppies while you wait at this dog-friendly distillery. The problem is that you can’t get every bottle on this list simultaneously. While some are available every day, you must return multiple days if you want Blanton’s AND Taylor AND Eagle Rare AND Weller. The Franklin County Humane Society has them all together on this flight!

Some Frankfort locals like to refer to Bourbon Cream as beginner’s bourbon. Start gently if you are trying to convert someone who doesn’t love bourbon. Start here. Bourbon. Cream. It is dessert in a bottle. Combine with root beer for an adult root beer float. Use it as coffee creamer. (It is 30 proof, so perhaps not at work.) Drink it straight over ice. Use a little in French toast batter or brownie mix. Trust us, the locals can talk your ear off about this bottle.
