J. Mattingly 1845 Distillery was founded by a six-generation descendent of John Graves Mattingly (1823-1910), who helped perfect the column still that dominates the modern bourbon industry. J. Mattingly offers a custom blending of “Double Staved” proprietary barrels. Double staving adds extra staves to each barrel to increase the distillate’s exposure to charred oak, that magical caramelized wood sugar. This collection offers a cross-section of their bourbons and rye, including two 1st Frankfort Releases.
